Support of NATO in Afghanistan

Project Overview:

NCS has provided a wide range of fuel and associated fuel services to customers in Afghanistan at Kandahar Airfield (KAF), Kabul/Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA), Mazar e-Sharif (MeS), Camp Arena (Herat), and at several Forward Operating Bases (FOB’s) supporting NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) Missions, over the course of 15 years.

2007 - 2021

Facts:

2007 - NCS was awarded its first fuel contract in Afghanistan in support of NATO.
2008 - NCS was awarded a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA-E) in support of the US Forces in Afghanistan.
2009 - NCS assumed responsibility for the military Bulk Fuel Installation (BFI) at Kabul Internal Airport (KAIA), today Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA).
2009/10 - NCS designed and constructed a fuel facility in Northern Afghanistan, on behalf of the Bundeswehr, and was awarded a contract for provision of fuel for the Bundeswehr.
2012 - NCS on behalf of World Fuel Services, operated a DLA-E contract in the Kyrgyz Republic.
2013 - NCS was awarded a contract with the DLA-E for delivery of aviation fuel to several FOB’s in Afghanistan.
2015 - The contract for provision of fuel and associated fuel services in Afghanistan was expanded and made NCS the exclusive provider of fuel for NATO/NSPA and extended to operating locations to include Kandahar Airfield and Camp Arena in Herat.
2018 - NCS was re-awarded the full scope contract for all fuel on behalf of NATO/NSPA in Afghanistan.
2021 – NCS remained operational during the final stages of NATO demobilization in August providing fuel support to the troops securing the redeployment as well as the airlifts from Afghanistan.
